in djibouti. u.s. drone attacks ordered by obama have spiked particularly in yemen, somalia, afghanistan, and notably pakistan where over 360 drone strikes over the nine years, 2004 to 2013, have killed over 3,000 people. this data is not classified. and not even secret. but it is troubling. so troubling that the u.n. has just decided to launch an investigation on the impacts of drone strikes on thousands of civilians. question. will the u.n. human rights council rule that drone use violates international law do you think, pat buchanan? >> i don't think they l. if they do, john, it doesn't make any difference. but we really ought to be concerned about these drones. they're a tremendously effective weapon. they save our pilots and the rest of it. but the collateral damage, the killing of civilians, the killing of children, the tremendous alienation they've increased all over this region has resulted in al-qaida frankly getting a tremendous number of new recruits. are we recruiting more enemies than we're killing? that's the key question when you look to see how al-qaida is no longer just

'm tempted to describe president obama's spending and tax ideas as small ball, but they're worse than that. they represent a conscious decision to neglect some of the most pressing issues that confront our country. you might even say it's a dereliction of duty in the battle to save america. last week, the congressional budget office projected that our gross national debt will increase from $16 trillion in 2012 to $26 trillion in 2023. now, that may seem like a long way off, but just since president obama has been president, the national debt's gone up by 55%, just in the last four years. but if you project that forward to 2023 when some of these young men and women who are working here as pages will be looking at entering the work force and looking at their futures, all they will see ahead of them is debt and a reduced standard of living. this is what lies ahead for all of us unless we embrace real spending cuts and unless we deal with the unfunded liabilities of medicare and social security. now, president obama has a secret strategy for getting our debt under control, we'd all love to he

, the obama campaign has decided to roll over much of its apparatus into a 501c4. reformers often talk about the worry of large donations going to a group whether it's a political committee or this type of committee and i don't know if you were helpful in setting the 501c4 up, but i was wondering how risky it might be to have a city -- a sitting president working for or raising money for a 501c4. >> i have not attempted to separate my comments -- i do represent organizing for action, which is the name of the organization you are referring to. i would simply say as you know, i will not be involved in electoral activity at all. in that sense, it's not to be confused with activity in an election cycle, the types of concerns the campaign finance sector we're talking about here today. as you know, it is devoted to federal and state public policy and issue development advocacy. it will be operating therefore as a social welfare organization. without going into tremendous amount of discussion about people's views of the feasibility of such an enterprise, i would say this -- the business of communic
